More Island Life on Dunk Island

We got up to find a rather large spider (roughly the size of my hand) just outside our room.

We set out to hike up to Mt. Kootaloo, a very scenic trail through thick rain forest that included a suspension bridge across this beautiful gorge with a river below.

Let me tell you, you have not lived until you are in a rain forest and it rains, and afterwards you don't want to. I have never seen it rain so hard, and I live in Seattle. I had to wipe my eyes every other step in order to see.

But the view from the top was impressive. We then continued down and around the old farm house and many of the beaches.

I was taking a liking to island life and wanted to explore possible career opportunities, so that night I tried my hand at bartending.

We later on we hung out with some of the employees as Micheal Hines entertained us with all kinds of songs. He was amazing, I swear if you close your eyes you would think Pearl Jam, Shawn Mullins, or Dave Matthews was right there.
