Cod Hole at The Great Barrier Reef

Another day of diving. Now that I was getting the hang of things I decided to test out other career opportunities, like driving (or maybe I'm suppose to say "Sailing") the boat. I never did get the lingo down like port, stern, starboard, etc, but hey this is Australia, no worries.

Our last dive would be at cod hole where we swam with 250 pound cod fish, these were amazing. One guy brought down some dead fish to feed them. They called them gentle giants but when food was in their path they didn't much care what they did, one plowed me over and another knocked off Rich's mask.

At the end of the day we had a barbeque (the Aussies love this) and drinks and talked about the experience. This crew was amazing, they really made the trip an unbelievable experience.

We basically left Cains and headed north along the reef until we got to Lizard island. From the island we took three even smaller plains back to Cains. Because we were just diving the planes had to fly under 700 feet to avoid decompression sickness. It gave us great views of the reef below.
